The mission...

Chembiotutoring was born from a desire to help students who feel "frozen with overwhelm" start making tangible progress.

I understand that chemistry and biology can often seem daunting, but I aim to make learning accessible and even enjoyable.

I'm passionate about empowering students to unlock their potential, one concept at a time.

My Story...

My name is Angela Bailey, I started my science career in Medical Research in Sydney as a Protein Chemist, blending the worlds of Chemistry and Biology.

After moving to the Central Coast I spent 5 years in a high school science teacher role, before joining the Open Foundation team at the University of Newcastle where I had the privilege of helping students gain the skills needed to continue on in various scientific fields.
I tutor a range of Open Foundation science courses; HSC Chemistry and Biology, and CHEM1010 at UoN.

For the last 7 years I've hosted the Chemistry Prep (bridging) courses for UoN, giving people the start they need to not be overcome with panic when starting CHEM1010.

I especially love helping Yr11 Preliminary students gain momentum and avoid dropping subjects due to overwelm and lack of confidence.

Building confidence, fostering momentum

At Chembiotutoring, a core belief is that gaining confidence gives momentum to your studies. I don't just teach subjects; I equip you with the tools to "know how to get unstuck."

My teaching is guided by the principles of clarity, patience, and encouragement.

Fostering an environment where questions are welcomed, mistakes are learning opportunities, and every small victory builds towards greater academic success.

"I really don’t know that I would have continued on beyond the first semester if not for Angela's amazing skills to teach students at all levels of ability and ages."
